Pride Cymru 2014

This summer, Pride Cymru (formerly known as Cardiff Wales LGBT Mardi Gras) returns to the grounds of Coopers Field, Cardiff on Saturday 16th August 2014 for Wales' largest celebration of equality and diversity, since 1999. THE LINE-UP: Kicking off midday with hours of feel good music from an impressive variety of live acts headlining the Admiral main stage including: ★ BGT Winners Collabro ★ Pride Festival favourites Stooshe ★ Big Reunion's Eternal ★ X-Factor's Misha B, ★ BGT Semi-finalist La Voix ★ The Voice's Sean Rumsey ★ 80s Diva Nicki French Supported by many more great music artists and award-winning dance acts, special Welsh guests, and cabaret performances that represent the last four decades of smash hits. For the first time this year there will be the Gaydar Silent Disco, where you'll be able to jump from mix to mix. In addition to the summertime party atmosphere, Pride Cymru will feature funfair rides, a cultural market with arts and crafts, food, drink and picnic area, Stonewall Cymru's family zone and a social hub for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender communities, offering advice and support. This year the main event will be supported by a wider Pride Cymru Festival, scheduled to take place in the weeks leading up to the main event, and will include several cultural satellite events in partner venues throughout the city, including Welsh talent events and a family fun day. The inaugural parade through the city centre will return for its third year running, bigger and better than ever! Festival-goers are encouraged to embrace the new name and celebrate diversity, filling the streets of Cardiff with colour and carnival.
